The Nesco/American Harvest FD-61WHC Snackmaster Express Food Dehydrator comes with a top mounted fan that can easily dries jerky, fruits and vegetables without fuss and evenly. It can dry food in hours and not the usual days. It has 5 trays for drying the food (although it can be expanded up to 12 trays but you will have to turn some trays by then to achieve even drying) and a jerky gun that comes with the unit when purchased. All parts of the unit except for the power head are dish washer safe and you can disassemble the unit in a fraction of time. The unique style of opaque exterior can block the lights that can destroy any nutrients from the dehydrating food. The patented fan forces air down the center of the product and then across each tray making it fast to dry food and evenly. There is absolutely no need to rotate the trays.

It has clean-a-screen for drying your favorite herbs that will continue to give flavor to your dishes at anytime all year long. Trays are dishwasher safe and the unit can be easily dismantled for washing after use. There is also a recipe book included.

The testimonials for the product is great and it functioned well and had able to meet what was expected of it except maybe for one review that the motor blew after less than a minute that it was turned on (which no one is sure why it did). Lots of fruits can be dried at once but you have to check for the proper time of fruits to complete the drying time.
